EPISODE TRANSCRIPT

 Gabrielle: I'm Gabrielle Horton

Martina: and I'm Martina Abrahams Ilunga. We're the executive producers and cohosts of NATAL. Today is a little bit different for us.

Gabrielle: Martina and I, including our entire NATAL production team, we stand in solidarity with the freedom fighters, demanding justice for Breanna Taylor, Tony McDade, George Floyd, and the countless other black citizens victimized at the hands of the police. And in light of this, we are holding off on publishing a new episode this week.

Martina: We encourage you to spend the time that you would have spent listening to NATAL, to support the movement for Black lives, and organizations that are committed to fighting against the state-sanctioned violence.

Gabrielle: There's the National Black Mama Bailout campaign, Survived and Punished, an abolition organization, and the LGBTQ Freedom Fund. So make sure you check out our show notes to find the links to these organizations and how you can support the anti-racist organizing they are doing to ensure that Black Lives Matter.

Martina: We'll be back with a new episode next week. In the meantime, stay safe, protect your peace, and as my uncle always says, stay Black.
